On October 31, a huge number of people visited Shibuya ward of Tokyo for Halloween. There were many events held from Friday and many people enjoyed the nights with different kinds of costumes everywhere around the city.

It was very busy and packed by so many people in Shibuya for Halloween parties this year. Police department even sent out riot police officers to calm down and control the city for safety reasons until very early in the morning.

Since this year's Halloween were bigger than that of last year in Shibuya, trashes were everywhere around the city. Food leftovers, rubbish of the costumes, drinks and cigarette butt created small mountains of rubbish at the corners of every street. There were places stinking your nose with bad smells as well.

However, groups of costumed young people turned up with garbage bags and brooms to clean up the city on the next day. On November 1, young people wore the same costumes especially designed for cleaning up the city and surprised many citizens.  This encouraged other young and old people to pick up trash on the street as well.

23 years old Japanese man who works in the city of Shibuya has spoken to NHK "More people turned up for parties in Shibuya for Halloween this year and the number of trash also raised. It is a great thing that people enjoy in the city, but I want the city to be kept clean." A man in 50's who volunteered to clean up the city said, "Even though there is more rubbish on the street this year, there are more people volunteering to clean up. This is a great thing."
