The world's 8th ranking Japanese tennis player Kei Nishikori just won himself a lifetime contract with Wilson November 30 to stand shoulder to shoulder with Roger Federer, Stefan Edberg, Steffi Graf, Billie Jean King and such big time Wilson racket users in tennis history. The contract is valid till Nishikori lays his tennis down for good.

A Wilson spokesman testifies Nishikori's unique contract stands out  in the history of tennis.

Nishikori never doubts that his racket controls his tennis itself and throughout his career Wilson has always been his favorite and "can't think of any other rackets but Wilson's", he says. He will stick to Wilson henceforth to challenge the "top of the world with".

The day the contract was announced Nishikori joined a talk show and met his own racket he used in his elementary school days. "Gee, I was so thrilled to meet my racket that way!", he said.

Wilson started developing a new racket for Nishikori soon after his painful loss to Rafael Nadal in the final of Masters 1000 in Madrid in 2014.

He had shoved off Nadal in the first set and was leading in the second when he injured his hip joints due largely to his play style that required a new type of racket that supports his mobility with higher speed.

Wilson adopted high-performance carbon fiber that is higher in rigidity than basalt fiber they had used since 2010 to increase resilience to give the kind of ball speed Nishikori wanted. They managed to place the carbon fiber portion at such a position that resilience would most effectively enhanced to give a ball contact ultimately close to that of STEAM Nishikori had been using.

So, Wilson tagged in Nishikori for "lifetime". That's a great news not only for Kei himself but for the entire world of tennis in Japan. Nishikori knows all that as he declares:

"I'll walk hand in hand with them and 'challenge the world'".
