"Your Name" Won Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Animated Film

The Los Angeles Film Critics Association announced December 4 "Your Name" won LA Film Critics Association Award for Best Animated Film, seconded by "The Red Turtle".

"Spirited Away" and "The Tale of Princess Kaguya" have hitherto been awarded the same and "Your Name" makes the third Japanese anime film to receive the honor.

"Your Name", rarely mentioned in any nomination predictions, has outrun "The Red Turtle", amply nominated in such predictions, in the race for the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award. It is quite meaningful as the Los Angeles Film Critics Association  award is said to affect the nomination of Academic Awards.
