Kuroko's Basketball Gets First Film

It has been confirmed that popular anime "Kuroko's Basketball (Kuroko no Basuke)" will be receiving a film adaptation. This was announced during the "Kurobas Cup 2015" event, held on September 20th at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. On the same day, the anime's official site also posted an announcement.

The anime, originated from Tadatoshi Fujimaki's manga "Kuroko's Basketball", ran for 3 seasons from 2012 to 2015. This will be the first its film adaptation and the detail hasn't been revealed yet.

The manga was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 2009 to 2014. The series was a big hit, with over 27,000,000 copies sold. Currently its sequel "Kuroko's Basketball EXTRA GAME" is serialized in "Shonen Jump NEXT".
