15-year-old Boy Investigated over Agnes Chan Death Threats
A 15 years old boy has been detained over death threats against show business personality Agnes Chan on Thursday, according to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department.
Fuji TV reported that on Sept 21, investigators searched the residence of the student in Akishima City, Tokyo, on suspicion of posting the death threats. The boy has reportedly admitted to posting messages on Chan's official Twitter page over a few times.
He has posted "If you do not accept child pornography, you will be hurt with a lot of blood" and "I will use a knife to slash you to ribbons on 21 of September" to the official page of the former recording artist.
The young boy said that "I couldn't stand seeing her engaging in charitable activities and volunteers even though she enjoys such an affluent and well-privileged lifestyle to herself."
Police have caught the young man by checking the communication record. A cell phone was used to write death threats on the twitter page of Agnes Chan and the young man was the owner of the phone. Police confiscated the kid's phone which they believe was used to post the threats. Police are now collecting the pieces of evidence in preparation for filing formal charges to the youth.
The 15 years old boy told the police that, "I have never imagined things will turn out to be a big fuss like this."
Chan told reporters that "It was just before my concert in Osaka when I heard about the poster was found. I was very shocked to know that the person who wrote on my twitter page was only a 15 years old boy. It is very pity and my heart hurts but as the police investigation is still ongoing, I'll wait and see what develops before commenting further."
