3 People Killed in Fire of Maid Cafe in Japan

Three people were killed in a fire on Thursday night that burned down a two-story building housing a maid cafe in Hiroshima, police said Friday.

The fire stopped burning at around 6:30 A.M of the next day. The building kept burning for almost 9 hours. Three People died in a Maid Cafe located inside the fired building in Nagarekawa of Naka district in Hiroshima prefecture.Two dead bodies were found, one believed to be those of a 28 years old female employee Maid Cafe and another one is of a male customer.

Another 36 years old male customer passed away after sent off to a hospital in a serious condition. Currently, the female employee is in hospital under the serious condition with unconsciousness. Three others were also injured heavily and five people received treatment for minor injuries.

Maid cafes is a place where waitresses dressed in maid costumes and serve customers with servant and master relationship. It has been a popular culture in Japan over the past decade.

The fire started at around 9:50 P.M on Thursday and two buildings were completely burnt and fire expanded to a total of about 600 square meters.

It has been reported that this building has not been listening to the city's fire department since 2007. The department has been warning the building to prepare for emergency fire disasters by training employee for emergency report and evacuation. The fire station kept warning prompted the building to carry out emergency training for five times, but all of them were ignored. There were an automatic fire alarm, fire extinguisher and evacuation lights, but employee were not taught the usage.

Last time the officer checked the building was the year in 2011 and the fire department has not grasped the safety of individual rooms.
Many people and customer visited to place flowers in front of the building.
