The increase rate in percentage is not as large as last year, but the number is growing higher. This is expected to mark the record of the highest number of winter bonus since the investigation started back in the year 1981.

Looking at industries, Car companies have the highest bonus of over 980 thousand yen. Machinery metals have over 90 thousand yen and Shipbuilding have over 820 thousand yen.

The rise of this winter bonus is because of profit and performance of manufacturing improved with the help of weaker Yen. Another main reason is the response to the base up of basic salary took place in the Spring this year.

There are 12 business industries which are investigated for the bonus detail and 10 out of 12 industries increased the winter bonus for employees. Keidanren will conclude the final result at the end of December and the result is expected to be the highest in the history.
