Japan to Boost Production of FCV

The ultimate in motor vehicle - Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has a timetable laid out for boosting production of this type of vehicle up to 800 thousand by 2030 and building necessary infrastructures to go with them.

Welcome to another episode on what's hydrogen. Japan already two of them on the road: MIRAI of Toyota and Clarity of Honda. Now, METI leads the way to a full-scale age of FCV. Here's how it sounds.

The ministry wants to see the market to FCVs and from 7 million yen now to 2 million by 2025 in its price. Two million yen for an FCV? Well, that's affordable.

The ministry further wants to see ministry contemplates legislative measures toward deregulation.

Honda's FCV Clarity is already being Honda introduced a follow up model Clarity Fuel Cell. The model is leased out effective March 10 this year.
