Director Appointed for Live-Action Film "Great Detective Pikachu"?

Overseas reports quote in multiple cinema info sites a director for the live-action film "Great Detective Pikachu（Meitantei Pikachū: Shin Konbi Tanjō)" - Rob Letterman of "Monsters vs. Aliens" and "Shark Tale". Letterman has directed such live-action films as "Gulliver's Travels" and "Goosebumps". He is also quoted to reproduce "Dungeons & Dragons", the first role-playing game, and his appointment this time would let him take successive charge of game-related films.

When to release a live-action film version of "Great Detective Pikachu"  is yet undecided, but its production is scheduled to start within the year 2017 while "the iron is hot".
