Volleyball: Japan Missed Great Opportunity for Rio Olympic at World Cup

Japan's women volleyball team lost their World Cup match against the United States on Saturday, letting the host country well enough alone for the running for one of the two Olympic billets on offer. 

The 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 10-25 misfortune left Japan with a 7-3 record and in fifth spot with no possibility of breaking into the main two, who will get billets to one year from now's Rio de Janeiro Olympics. 

In the wake of winning the first set, the Americans, a year ago's title holders, regrouped and utilized their tallness and energy to full impact. 

"I'm exceptionally frustrated; the second set was especially definitive. We'd be on the back foot once the U.S. leads with quick, solid serves and we can't win without taking the activity," said director Yoshimasa Manabe. "We get obstructed a great deal when we lose so we have to eliminate that." 

Japan will now try to acquire its ticket to Rio in one year from now's last Olympic and Asian qualifying competition.

China and Serbia have got the ticket for Olympic at Rio De Janeiro.
