Massive Typhoon hit Japan and Helicopters pulled Survivors from Collapsing Homes

Storm flood rips through residential neighborhood in eastern Japan on Thursday. Emergency warning was announced for Ibaraki Prefecture as well as Tochigi Prefecture. Due to flooding of residential neighborhood and creating scenes of devastation, helicopters pulled survivors from collapsing homes.

The storm was originally caused by Typhoon Etau, which crossed central Japan into the Sea of Japan on Wednesday before being downgraded to a depression. This typhoon is very huge and some says that this happens only once in every fifty years.

Hundreds of houses hit by a torrent of water, with some crumbling and being swept away. Footage from NHK showed emergency personnel using helicopters to pull stranded residents from balconies, as the deluge threatened to demolish the buildings from beneath them. The Japanese Meteorological Agency has announced residents in the two prefectures to stay somewhere with high altitude in order to avoid the strong current of the water.

Typhoon Etau caused this storm flood in the two prefecture but it covers all Kanto region and surrounding districts. Therefore it is raining heavily which is causing inconvenience to many people in the heart of Japan. Some of the highways are currently blocked in Kanto area and JR trains are partly out of service too because of the heavy rain.

There was a big festival planned in Fukuoka on 12th and 13th called "World Heritage Munakata 2015". HKT48, a very popular Japanese idol group was also going to be at the festival but sadly for many of the HKT48 fan, the festival is officially canceled due to the typhoon.

The power of nature is massive, human cannot do anything about it. However the damage of the disaster can be minimized with help of many. This typhoon is said to be gone by late Friday.
