According to the Ibaraki prefectural government, "Recovery of telephone lines helped individuals to get in touch with their family and friends to check the survival. This allowed us to make sure that missing ones are in safe".

The prefecture had reported 15 individuals were missing as of Saturday morning based on figures which Joso city released. Joso is the city where the Kinugawa River burst its banks on Thursday.

As two bodies discovered before in Joso were not any of the 15 missing individuals. The prefectural government is currently checking whether there are any other individuals who stay unaccounted for.

The Joso city and the Ibaraki prefectural governments put the number of missing individuals at 15 based on the request for rescue. The government released the number of missing people as fifteen without checking if they stay in any of the shelters. All of them were safe somewhere. Some citizen showed concern and frustration towards the government as the information released by the government were unsure.

More than ten thousand buildings including people's houses have been flooded by the rain this time. The prefecture will continue to provide the full support they can give even after when the disaster is gone. "Restoration might take time, thus rotation of the help is important" the head of the prefecture added.
