Gamba Osaka to face Kashima Antlers in Football Nabisco Cup Final

Two semifinals of the Nabisco Cup were played on Sunday. Last year's winner, Gamba Osaka faced Albirex NIgata at home after 1-2 lost at away on October 7. On the other side of Japan, Kashima Antlers faced Vissel Kobe after 2-1 win on Wednesday.

This time, Gamba Osaka has beaten Albirex Nigata with 2-0 win to make a victory of 3-2 on aggregate to advanced to the final of the cup game. Former Japan midfielder Yasuhito Endo scored a free kick in the 57th minute and Hiroki Fujiharu added a late second goal. Albirex Nigata were highly motivated to reach the final for the first time in their history, but Gamba Osaka was a better side.

Mu Kanazaki was on target twice as five-time champion Kashima hammered Vissel Kobe 4-1 to advance 6-2 on aggregate.

The fixture schedule for Gamba Osaka is extremely tight as they are competing in a domestic league of J1 league, this Nabisco cup as well as Asia champions league.
